* Private Sessions providing one on one guidance through a workout designed and based on your personal goals. For example, if you would like to loose weight and tone up, our fitness professional will design a program to tighten and tone muscles and burn calories, while adding calorie burning cardiovascular intervals to speed up your weight loss.
Initial Fitness Assessment:
At Personal Touch Fitness we start with an Individual Fitness Assessment, (IFA). The IFA measures your level of cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and body –fat. The trainer will initially assess your level of fitness on your first visit to Personal Touch Fitness. A “before” photo, along with “before” measurements will be recorded, and kept confidential in your personal chart. Specifically, the trainer will measure, resting heart rate, active heart rate, flexibility, body fat and inches. These measurements as well as your health history and goals will be used to determine your personal fitness training workout plan and nutritional guidelines to meet your goals. Assessments are repeated and charted every six weeks to track your progress
* Along with your initial assessment, a personal health and fitness history will be taken so that your personal trainer can more specifically target in on a fitness regime suitable for your level of fitness.
* In addition to the health and fitness history, your personal trainer will sit down with you and review your goals for fitness, well being, and nutritional needs. Goals will be recorded in your personal chart and reviewed every six weeks to ‘stay on track’.
Personal Touch Fitness trainers will provide you with 3 essential components of fitness :
1. Strength training - incorporating progressive resistance training through the use of free weights, body bar, and body bands.
2. Flexibility - incorporating yoga, body ball, Pilates stretches, calisthenics and more.
3. Cardiovascular training - Depending on your baseline level of cardiovascular fitness, I will train you to have fun while burning calories!!! Roller blade, run, jump on the mini- trampoline, ski, Strength training: Your trainer will spot you while you workout, which means to check your form and make sure that you are doing it right. She will motivate you to push further and harder than if you were trying to do it yourself.
Client Support:
Your trainer will be there for you, to answer questions, concerns, and, if need be, to re design your program based on how you are progressing with your goals.
Every step of the way, our trainers will add their professional advice and will apply their professional fitness skills to help you reach your goals in the comfort of your own home, or my studio, you will be able to workout using the proper form and technique, without the crowds and confusion of a gym. All Personal Touch Fitness Trainers are nationally certified and attend workshops and classes regularly to improve their knowledge and expertise, so that they can give you the safest, most efficient workout you can get!
Personal Touch Fitness trainers are there to support you in your weight loss goals; however, we are not trained doctors. Our trainers will offer you suggestions; however, your eating requirements should be reviewed by a registered dietician or your doctor first. We make suggestions advocating a healthy eating pattern and a healthy lifestyle.
As Personal Trainers, we do not believe in "fad" diets. We recommend a healthy eating plan, based on your goals, limitations, food allergies, and health issues.
In general, it is recommended that clients attempt to eat healthy, including veggies, fruit, brown rice and healthy grains. We recommend limiting white refined sugar, white flour, limiting fats, and "bad" carbohydrates! This eating plan is based on healthy and natural eating; yet, as always, portion control is key! Our trainers can help you with suggestions to keep you on track, such as weighing and measuring foods, preparing foods ahead of time, and so on.
Personal Touch Fitness is proud to announce our Food Shopping Service! For an added fee, Personal Touch Fitness Trainers will help you to implement a healthy eating plan for you based on your lifestyle, goals, and choices. Here’s how it works:
1. You may also choose to seek out an eating plan from an outside professional service; such as, a registered dietician, lifestyle and weight loss consultant, doctor, or weight loss support group program.
2. Based on this consultation, or based recommendations from your registered dietitian, doctor, or weight loss support group, one of our trainers will provide you with a shopping list that you may take to the store with you to help you buy the healthy foods.
3. In addition, the trainer can simply take your healthy shopping list and do the work for you. What a relief! No waiting in lines, no wasted time reading labels.
Food shopping assistance can really help you to get on track with your eating issues! Just think, a certified personal trainer accompanying you to the supermarket, and helping you make the right choices! This offers an added level of support and comfort. If you are tempted to choose that unhealthy food, your personal trainer will be there with you, suggesting healthier alternatives!
